POMO started in the late '90s in the spare room of an old Queenslander in Stones Corner, Brisbane. In those days, we designed CD sleeves for independent bands and even released a few albums ourselves. In the early 2000s, we moved to Fortitude Valley and expanded into a full-service design and production management business. We were consistently ranked within the top 20 design firms in Queensland.

In 2006, we relocated to the Sunshine Coast. In 2010, our Director Lisa Harrison wrote Australia's first nationally accredited Certificate IV Social Media course which she now runs independently and nationally, and you can read more about here.

In 2013 we designed and built our studio in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. It won a state wide award for sustainable design.

Our practice areas are diverse and have followed the interests and skills of those in our team. This is why today we work in fields such as urban design and urban revitalisation, placemaking, public space design, community planning and project management through to web and digital design, branding, graphic design and print. We believe that it takes a unique multidisciplinary skill set to tackle today's challenges and create high level outcomes. Since 2013 we have been awarded one regional, two state and two international design awards including a W3 Gold Trophy.

When needed, we work with a select group of like-minded collaborators who contribute specialist skills to our more complex projects.
