POMO sponsors groundbreaking architectural exhibition – Hot Modernism
POMO was invited to be involved with Hot Modernism at the State Library of Queensland, an exhibition which is on now until Oct 12 in South Bank.
POMO contributed by designing a giant 10 square metre infographic that helps explain different aspects of modernist architecture in Queensland. The infographic covers one wall of a purpose-built modernist home that is the centrepiece of the exhibition.
The exhibition is the first time that modernist Queensland architecture has been surveyed and compiled into a gallery show. Precious little has been documented or written about the state’s architecture created between 1945 and 1975, some of which is now among the most iconic and culturally significant buildings in the country.
